Every new discovery is just a reminder — we’re all small and stupid

Asian actress winning awards? Doesn’t matter. The concept of hopping on different universes, doing magical stuff and strengthening the bond between a daughter and a mother, they all don’t matter. To live your life to the fullest and be proud of yourself is the point of the movie.

The only thing I do know is that we have to be kind. Please, be kind. Especially when we don’t know what’s going on.

You could’ve avoided all the mistakes you’ve made. You could’ve had a decent career with a great reputation. You could’ve ignored the one you truly loved for it. You could’ve brought humanity an opportunity to reach the maximum of their potential and they would be praying for you as a goddess before going to sleep. But, then what? Will you be satisfied then? Do you think your soul has been working its nails off in order to achieve this kind of reward?

If nothing matters, then all the pain and guilt you feel for making nothing of your life, it goes away.

This scene reminded me of Wong Kar-Wai’s “In The Mood For Love”.

We never think outside the box. We just get out of a box to be trapped in a bigger one. We don’t even realize that we are not trying hard enough to be aware of what is in the box. In other words, we totally ignore what we have, which is, generally, a life to live.

Of all the places I could be, I just want to be here with you

Can’t get enough of the satisfying transitions

Neither we were born to please our parents nor to make our kids better ones. Otherwise, we were given a whole universe, our own lives, to experience and feel it. Yes, even the slightest decisions, mistakes and successes direct our lifepaths to other ways. But, it still is our own free will to keep it that way. Life sucks. Laundries and taxes suck. The obstacles in the relationship between people suck. But you’ve got to fight. Not with your fists, but with your arms and palms open for a hug. That’s the way ought to be fighting. God, or anything else, I’m very thankful to be alive.

When I choose to see the good side of things, I’m not being naive. It is strategic and necessary. It’s how I learned to survive through everything.

And surely, it is a masterpiece!
